Art Nouveau

Over the years when I used the Art Nouveau period as a unit of study, students were inspired to create original artwork based on their knowledge of–or reaction to–the prominent artists and artwork of this artistic era.

At times I assigned particular artists or projects, and at other times the students were given the freedom to choose artists, projects, and directions of interest to explore.

Below are links to some of their projects.

Art Nouveau – Student Choice Projects

Art Nouveau – Ink Drawings

Art Nouveau – Typeface Designs

Art Nouveau – Cut Paper Designs

Art Nouveau – “Etched” Vase Designs

Art Nouveau – Set Design
