This project was modeled after a &#8220;peace cloth&#8221; which was over a mile in length, and contained sections from 33 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A group in Charlottesville, Virginia took on the task of having all victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks represented in a &#8220;cloth of many colors&#8221; and asked local school children if they would like to be a part of this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ten students at my school chose to participate, and their squares were joined with those of other students and displayed at a concert in Charlottesville on June 24, 2002.
