Drawing: Pencil/Graphite Projects

Students from Art 1 to Advanced Art produced drawing projects in pencil by working from photographs. While they were given various parameters over the years regarding subject matter, they always did their best work when they were given as much freedom of choice as possible.

Students used a grid system to obtain a high degree of realism in their projects, and they were encouraged to use strong contrast. Values were added by blending the graphite. These are some examples of their work.
