I enjoy creating simple tabletop fountains using "found" rocks. Over the years I've had several different ones, depending on the stones and space that I've had available. And it always seem that I'm planning the next one.

This one features many river rocks, as well as chunks of white and rose quartz. There are also some rocks from the Arizona desert in the top part of the fountain (not submerged), including pyrite and unpolished turquoise. At times I've used floating candles in the water or have ivy or ferns behind it, draping over the bowl.

This fountain is in my living room. It mainly features rose and white quartz (two of my favorite stones), along with an angel figurine. Even though it is very simple, I love hearing the gentle sound of the water in the house.

This isn't a true fountain, but it includes water (of course), live bamboo, crushed white marble, polished and natural amythest crystals, rose quartz, hematite, clear quartz, and other stones.

This little fountain in my bedroom is a study in contrasts. On one side it has rough stones and on the other it has amethyst, rose quartz and clear quartz crystals. A small statue of Qwan Yin--the goddess of compassion, awareness and altruism--sits among the crystals.

I literally gasped when I saw this chunk of rose quartz in the sunlight. For whatever the reason, it just struck me as being an amazing and powerful stone.
