Students in grades 6 - 8 were introduced to the work of Claes Oldenburg, a Swedish-American sculptor, during this stop on the Timeline of Art. Oldenburg, noted for his monumental sculptures of everyday objects, was their inspiration as they began creating large sculptures of their own.
