Celtic Cross-Stitch and Needlepoint
Many Celtic cross-stitch and needlepoint patterns are highly complex. In order to make this project "do-able" for students who had never tried any type of stitchery, one basic design motif was simplied, charted and enlarged.
Students could choose to work on light blue 14 ct. Aida cloth to do the design in cross-stitch, or they could do needlepoint on plastic mesh canvas, using yarn and large needles. Students could choose their colors of floss or yarn and enthusiastically got to work!
