Students looked at pictures of images that had been carved in stone by ancient Celtic peoples. They then drew designs that would make suitable relief sculptures.
They transferred their designs to 6 x 6 inch squares of drywall, received instruction on the safe use of the tools, and began to carve!
They painted their relief sculptures with acrylic paint.
